Be Seen, Be Heard
The Be Seen, Be Heard campaign recognizes at its core that young people have a vital role to play in the decisions that affect us all. That is why the Office of the United Nations Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth and The Body Shop are collaborating on a global campaign to support young people’s political participation and amplify young voices in public life.

The Envoy’s Workplan: Vision Statement
Currently our world is home to 1.9 billion young people between the ages of 10 to 24, the largest generation of young people in its history. Close to 90 per cent of this youth population live in developing countries. What is more, their numbers are expected to continue to grow, especially in the least developed regions. With such numbers, it is clear that sustainable development and peace cannot be achieved unless we involve young people and create the conditions that allow them to reach and unleash their full potential.
